Commission Meets to Offer Input on Task Force Work To-Date

The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) and the National Board of Medical Examiners have published a proceedings paper for last year's "Advancing Assessment of Professionalism in Continuing Certification" symposium. The document will inform the current work of healthcare, medical education, assessment and professional self-regulation leaders in terms of providing guidelines for current medical professionalism standards, as well as map a path forward for the profession at large. Members of the Continuing Board Certification: Vision for the Future Commission convened virtually in September to review and discuss the work to date of the four "Achieving the Vision" Task Forces and the Standards Task Force. Commission members offered feedback and commentary, and clarification about the intent of certain recommendations outlined in their report.
