AMA, FDA Launch CME on Newly Updated Nutrition Facts Label

The American Medical Association (AMA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced a new continuing medical education (CME) course for physicians and other healthcare professionals to guide patients on the updated Nutrition Facts label. The course includes videos that showcase the new label, whose update reflects new scientific information, including the connection between diet and chronic diseases. The videos will help healthcare professionals counsel patients about using the label to make informed food and beverage choices for themselves and their families. The new Nutrition Facts label CME course can be viewed on the AMA Ed Hub or the FDA website. The video is eligible for AMA Physician's Recognition Award Category 1 credit.
