PQA Launches Medication Use Quality Continuing Education Program

The Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) has launched Medication Use Quality, an online continuing education and certificate program to help healthcare professionals deploy effective quality improvement. The program offers advanced training on quality measurement and approaches for evaluating and improving medication use quality, using real-world examples and best practices. Participants can gain 15 accredited continuing education hours through the program, which is presented via PQA's new Education Center. The program addresses topics including value-based care, social determinants of health, health information technology, Medicare, Medicaid and advances in pharmacist-provided care. PQA Education Director Jake Galdo said the program "fills a major gap in continuing and interprofessional education," offering knowledge and experience that "will support more consistent and higher-quality medication use in diverse care settings across America."
