New Option: Jointly Accredited Providers Can Now Elect to Offer CE for Dentists

Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education (12/01/19)

Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education announced that jointly accredited providers can now opt to offer continuing education (CE) activities and profession-specific credit for dentists, via an expansion co-developed with the American Dental Association (ADA). Providers can award single profession or interprofessional continuing education credit to dentists while waiving separate accreditation through the ADA's Continuing Education Recognition Program (CERP). Providers can avail themselves of the new CE option for an extra $1,500 annually, to be invoiced for the 2019 yearly fee later in December, and payable by Jan. 31, 2020. The organization also plans to modify the Joint Accreditation Program and Activity Reporting System for providers to indicate if their target audience includes dentists and whether they are offering ADA CERP credits.
