CME for MOC Training Topics

ACCME Newsletter (05/30/19)

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) suggests providers of CME activities focusing on specific topics should weigh registering them for Maintenance of Certification (MOC). Value and participation can be added, and learning burdens reduced, by allowing learners to fulfill mandates for CME, MOC, and employment through CME activity involvement. Topics of interest include advanced cardiac life support, advanced trauma life support, clinician burnout, electronic health records, ethics/professionalism, opioid education, overall wellness, patient safety, quality improvement basics, shared decision-making, team-based care, and grand rounds, tumor boards, and morbidity and mortality. The council is collaborating with six certifying boards to streamline CME/MOC integration.
